Practice selected landmarks on the front and back of a left humerus. This free lesson includes named references, blank labeling pages and detailed answers from the Atlas Anatomy Labeling Companion.
Download the complete humerus lesson (PDF)
Seven US Letter pages: one guide, two named references, two blank practice pages and two answer pages. No email or account is required. The front and back views show the same bone; enlarged details repeat the drawing.
Use the reference before the blank diagram
Study the names on PDF pages 2 and 3, following each pointer to its landmark. Put those pages aside and write the names on pages 4 and 5. PDF pages 6 and 7 explain the answers. If a label is unfamiliar, use its explanation to find the structure, then try the blank page again in a later session.
What this lesson shows
The anterior view includes the humeral head, tubercles, intertubercular groove, shaft, deltoid tuberosity, epicondyles, capitulum, trochlea and coronoid fossa. The posterior view also shows the olecranon fossa and radial groove. This is selected-landmark practice, not a complete upper-limb course.
Schematic illustrations created with AI assistance and edited for study. Some regions divide continuous bone for the exercise. Read the answer-key qualifications and use the lesson alongside your course atlas. Personal study use; redistribution, resale and classroom distribution are not included.
More bone practice
The paid Selected Bone Landmarks pack contains the same two humerus worksheets and their keys, plus patella and clavicle worksheets and six written-review questions. It has 11 study and answer pages in both Letter and A4. The named humerus references in this free sample are not counted as extra pages in that pack. You do not need to buy the pack to use this lesson.
For written questions without diagrams, use the free bone-markings guide and quiz.
Anatomy reference: OpenStax, Bones of the Upper Limb. The PDF keys retain the source-specific diagram references.
